Questions

Is it possible to cancel an already placed bid?

Unfortunately you can not 'undo' a bid you have placed on an auction. This would be unfair to other bidders.

How can I change my email address?

You can change your email address in the account section ('My account') of the website. Click on 'Change details' and enter the email address. After you have changed your email address, you will receive a confirmation email on your new address.

Do I also receive an invoice?

You will receive an invoice from us for the paid product.

What kind of guarantee or warranty applies to my product?

Standard factory warranties apply to all our products.

I've arrived at your site through a promotion. How many Biddies do I get?

The number of Biddies won by you is presented on the right top of the page, next to your user name. This is only shown once you have registered for the service and have successfully entered your action code.

Do I need to pay shipping costs?

Yes, we charge a symbolic contribution of £ 5,00 for shipping the products that you buy. This contribution almost never covers the total amount of shipping costs, but we do not want our customers to foot the bill completely for these costs and think the principle 'a problem shared is a problem halved' is more fair!

What happens when I’ve placed the last bid?

The countdown timer will end and, if no one else places a bid, you will receive the product for the auction amount. You will get a pop-up and we will send you an e-mail containing instructions on how-to get the product shipped to you.

The auctions look vague. Why is that so?

These auctions are not active. Most auctions—excluding around the clock auctions—are inactive during the night. You can however still place bids on these auctions.

Which payment methods do you accept?

You can pay using Credit card or PayPal.

Can I see finished auctions?

You can click on History in the top-left corner. There you’ll find the 20 most recently finished auctions.

What does the Bid Butler do?

Your personal Bid Butler is extremely useful when you’re not behind your computer but still want to place bids. The Butler will place bids for you until the desired product is yours or you run out of Biddies. You can order your Butler to place bids for you by clicking the gear icon next to the “Bid” button underneath an auction. The icon will turn orange to indicate your Butler is working for you. By clicking the icon again you can stop the Butler from placing bids.
The Butler will place a bid within 5 seconds before expiry of the auction. This way you’ll have the best chance of success. If multiple people have their Butler enabled a random draw determines who will place the next bid.

When does the Bid Butler disengage?

The Bid Butler disengages when you tell him to. He also stays active if you leave the site. The Butler stops automatically when the desired product is yours or if you run out of Biddies.

What does this site offer?

BidYes.com offers penny auctions. Please visit the How it works page for a brief explanation.

Can I change my details?

Of course that’s possible. You can change your details on the My account page. The only things you can’t change are your username and your country. If you change your e-mail address we’ll send you an e-mail to confirm the address.

Where can I find your terms and conditions?

You can find the terms and conditions by clicking on the terms and conditions link located at the bottom-right of every page.
